All students are offered several performance opportunities throughout the season. While all performances are optional, we encourage performance as an important aspect of dance training. The experience of performing helps build self-esteem and confidence, which can result in better in-school presentations, improved social skills, and strong college and job interview skills. The rehearsal process is a tremendous learning experience as well. It helps the children develop retention skills, and by working with their classmates on a group performance, they learn the positive aspects of collaborating as a team to create the best end result.

While we know that the standard in dance may be to have one major recital at the end of the season for dancers, we believe that offering a variety of performance experiences throughout the season for all of our dancers helps them to expand their dance education. From small community performances, to full scale concert events, your dancer will have the opportunity to showcase their hard work on stage.

The Nutcracker Remixed Show - November

All dancers are invited to participate in this annual holiday event that has become a community favorite. The story tells the classic tale of the Nutcracker with an updated twist to include multiple dance styles and music from Sammy Davis Junior to Michael Jackson. Our dancers take the stage accompanying Clara on her magical adventure through the Land of Eternal Winter to the Land of Sweets.

Tea With Tights - January

A winter social to remember. Guests are treated to a formal seated tea with finger sandwiches and treats for all. While the audience is served delectable treats, our dancers serve up delightful performances on stage. Selected classes will perform alongside our intensive dancers. This annual fundraiser is hosted by our studio competition teams and has sold out for over ten seasons.

Overcome Benefit Concert - April

Each year, our studio hosts a benefit concert dedicated to a person or organization who embodies the spirit of overcoming adversity. This is a contemporary dance based concert featuring our Fusion and Expressions Contemporary Dance Companies, as well as selected classes, soloists, and alumni dancers. The Overcome concert takes place at the Richard E. Wildish Community Theatre.

April Showers Recital - April

A series of community showcases, our younger dancers take the stage at the Richard E. Wildish Community Theatre to entertain audiences. All dancers in our First Steps program are invited to perform in this recital. Showcases will take place throughout the day and friends and family are invited to come out to support their favorite dancers.

Turn It Up! Dance Showcase - May

Dancers will perform on stage for a professional judging staff and be acknowledged at an awards ceremony for their achievements. This competition event allows dancers from throughout Oregon to showcase their talents and create camaraderie among studios. Venue location for Turn It Up! Dance Showcase is to be announced.

End of Season Recital - June

Our end of season recital offers our students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their families and friends the results of a year’s hard work, dedication, and progress. Each class presents a fully choreographed, costumed dance in the show. Our company hosts two nights of the show in order to accommodate a larger audience. This show is held at Powers Auditorium, a professional performance venue that seats six hundred.
